Our New Home

Originally the kids & I were suppose to Move in right away. However the people had to push their move back a few weeks. So we are finally moving in today!!!! Yay!!!! We are so excited!!! We are planning on being here for a few years before figuring out where we want to buy/build. We picked this area because its 4 miles from my In-Laws, a few blocks from Alan's Best Friend, Gated Neighborhood, Private Pool & Park, I can have a good size garden, 15 fruit trees in our backyard, 3000 sq feet and 5 bedrooms. So come visit us!!! :)

 As if packing & loading all your things into a Moving Truck, isnt daunting task already..

Roadtrip Moves are even more fun, & always a Adventure!! This was my first time Driving a long distance road trip with just the kids & I. (4-5 hours max before)  We left Saturday early evening and arrived the next Afternoon. It is about a 12 hour Drive. However we stopped and stayed the night in the middle of Nevada. Probably the most old/grossest thing I have ever spent 100 dollars at in my entire life!! It was so nasty we slept on top of the covers!! We are so glad to have arrived safely at my In-laws!

One Year

One Year

 WOW!! It has been almost a year ago since our last post!! What can I say... we have been busy living life. :)

Here is a Quick Update of Our Past Year...

 I will, continue to backtrack to get caught up. (once our lives are on schedules again) Aka don't look for anything until mid Septemberish.

Moving Day

MOVING DAY...

Thank goodness for IPhones!!! I am & have been depending on My Iphone more and more for Photos. Sad, but so much more convenient. Luckily, I am able to capture more of our day to day lives. 

Moving Day was crazy!!! Every time we Move, I am always baffled! By how much stuff we have. Shockingly, we got rid of 3 truck loads of things over the past 3 months!! There was not one inch spared at the end. Its always a daunting task.

The morning of Friday, the 27th, we drove down to get the Uhual Trucks. Alan drove the Trucks back. While the kids & I made a stop at Krispy Kreme Donuts. Can you believe this was their first time?!

It took us a full 24 hours to load & clean!

We were exhausted at the end!!!

We have been holding in, a little Secret, for a bit now...

Yup!!! We are Moving to CALIFORNIA!!!

Alan is getting Promoted!!! He will be the newest NetApp Global Support Account Manager, in Sunnyvale. Working on the Apple/ Siri account. Naturally we are a Family of IPhones now... ;)

In April, Alan had a Business Trip to NetApp Corporate Offices, in Sunnyvale, California. So we have known for some time, this was in the works. We were waiting for the position to "Officially" open, and for Alan to have all the paperwork signed. Alan won't start until mid-August. Since he is helping hire & train his Replacement.

 We are beyond thrilled!! This is a Permanent Position, & has been the Ultimate Goal for some time now. (moving to Northern California & working for NetApp that is) The only other moving we will be doing, is when we Purchase/Build Our Dream Home. :)

We are a little sad, Our time in Utah was a little shorter than anticipated. However, Oprah says it best 

"Luck is when preparation meets opportunity." 

We are so Proud of you Alan!!!! You are such a Amazing Provider & Hard Worker!!

We have Arrived!!!

Well after 4 Food Stops, 15 Bathroom Stops, & 28 hours of driving we have FINALLY made it to Our New Home in Dubuque, Iowa!!!!! Yay!! Let the unpacking begin!!!!

We got these amazing Ice Cream Cones for 99 cents at a rest stop along the way.

We enjoyed our yummy snacks Aunty Mallory picked us up!! Our kids LOVE Lunchables!! Total stapel food on any road trip!!

We stayed at a Days Inn in Sidney, Nebraska aka headquarters of Cabelas.
