Girls Day Out!
Saturday February 3rd 2007
*
Sooo I cant believe I didn't take any pictures, I just simply forgot I had my camera on me. But hopefully Amanda or Brittany will post, or send me some. :) The day was filled with adventure and surprises!
*
Amanda, Brittany, & I decided to go Antiquing. Christy was suppose to go with us but she was running errands and had to rush home to eat banana pancakes?! At least that's what she told me! haha. Later on she had work at 5pm. We got in the car not exactly sure where the Antique Mall was located in Springville and ended up taking a fun detour on this road next to open fields and cows. After driving around for 15 mins, we finally found it! It was in the middle of no where... well it was next to Big Bubahs Tires. Talk about Random!
*
It was a really junky one, which are usually the best ones. Mom always told us the Junkier the better! Although this one was somewhat expensive, and everything I wanted was way over $20. So unfortunately I wasn't able to find anything. But Amanda and Brittany found some things! There were 2 large structures and we went into the first one and only made it half ways through and ended up leaving to go to the other one because we got so freaked out.
*
Let me elaborate... haha. These Antique Mall Structures, weren't my idea of "sturdy" by any means. They were made of this thin tin like material, the ground was solid concrete. The best way I could compare the design of the building would be to a Airport Hanger. All 3 of us were in a aisle, we were going from the front of the store to back. Amanda was leading us heading toward the back, followed by myself, and concluding with Brittany. Out of no where the building starts full on shaking! I Immediately looked up and see the hanging lights full on swaying, and you could hear the roof rattling. I look down at the ground confused because the ground wasn't moving. I then look up in front of me seeing Amanda with sheer horror on her face running towards me with her arms somewhat waving in the air! She grabs me and says "We need get out of here!" I'm pretty sure she startled me more than the building shaking itself. It took all my might for me not to pee my pants out of Fright. haha. Once Amanda reached me It seemed like no one moved, as soon as it stopped we went up to Brittany. And the lady at the cashier yelled out "Is everyone okay?!" Out of total confusion we were wondering what the heck had just happened? Was it a earthquake? Did a plane crash? Did something explode? About 3-4 minutes later a aftershock of sorts happened again! This time not nearly as strong as the first, but definitely noticeable. We decided that it was time to get out of there. We made our way to the front of the store to the cashier so Amanda could purchase her goodies. Sure enough a 3rd aftershock happens much smaller than the 2nd. We get outside and we couldn't help but to look all around us in confusion. I called Alan at the restaurant and asked him if they had anything happen there, he said not that he was aware of. We then went into the other building to finish antiquing. We then learned that a airplane had gone by and what we had heard was a Sonic Boom.

From the Antique Mall we went to Leatherbys in Provo. To sit down and get a Yummy Ice Cream Sundae. Amanda & Brittany shared and I had my own. We both got Traci's Peanut Butter Cup! Which consists of Hot Creamy Peanut Butter and Leatherbys Home made Hot Fudge combined over Vanilla Ice Cream topped with Whip Cream and a Cherry on top! I managed to finish mine kinda fast. haha. From there we headed to Karen Boyer's Apartment to say Hi to her. This was the first time Ive seen Karen and I live 11 blocks from her! Well at least Christy sees her. haha.
*
We then headed to Salt Lake so we could go to Dinner with everyone. Everyone being Amanda and Brittany's Families, & Jesse, Lacie & Baby Elliot. We wanted to go to The Mayan but it was a hour and a half wait! So we ended up at Ruby River Steakhouse in Sandy. Alan met us there, after he got off from Harvest. Alan & I shared a New York Steak. It was so yummy! I don't think I ever really ate steak until I married Alan. Now its a monthly thing! I am soooo glad I married into a HUGE Steak Family. After that everyone headed home. Alan surprised me with some desserts from Harvest. They were really yummy! We still have left over dessert because it was so rich.

Anyways Thanks Amanda & Brittany for getting me out of the House! I really appreciate it! :)
