Tiffany's Ring
We had Our Rings Made by my Uncle Scott's Dad. I wanted originally 2 carrots or more. But Alan talked me down to a little over 1 carrot and guarantee upgrade 10 years from now. I wanted the Ring to be a one of a kind! I designed it on a point so it would have the illusion of being much bigger that it was. I know now a days people just have 1 band and that's it but I wanted a traditional set with a separate wedding band to go with the engagement ring. The diamonds only go half ways around because I didn't want them to get dirty. The Center is also Raised. The small side diamonds are individually set and smooth to the rings surface. We went with White Gold because Platinum scratches easier and knowing me it would probably be dinged up pretty good. haha. The goal was to have the design of the Ring to look dainty, antique, and eye catching. I think they did a pretty good job!
I actually didn't get my engagement ring until Valentines Day 2005 because The Jeweler was backed up and since it was a custom design it takes a lot longer to get it just right. I had been sick and Alan worked until 10pm. He came to my house on Valentines after work with a dozen long steamed red roses. I was watching tv and laying on the couch. It was really dark and I couldn't see anything really. He gave me the roses and I remember smiling at him, smelling them and saying thank you. And then I set them down beside me. He then said " I think you need to smell them again!". So I picked up the Roses and smelled them again. Then I put them down again beside me. At this point I can tell hes a little frustrated with me, and I had no idea why. He then turned on the light, and said "You need to REALLY look at your roses!" So I picked them up for a third time and there in the middle of the dozen was my Engagement Ring sitting inside of one of the roses. I was sooooo excited! Well as excited as someone can be when there sick. I Love My Ring and I get complements all the time!
Alan's Ring
Alan wanted something simple and durable. haha. If you don't know Alan he has a tendency of being clumsy and when he works on his truck he wanted to have ring that could get dinged up and scratched up but wouldn't really matter because it would be hard to see. So this is the Wedding Band Alan picked out!
