Drive Home

Part III

We decided to take back roads home today. We headed East, and followed the Mississippi River North, to Dubuque. I just LOVE how much character you can find out here.

Drive Home from Airport

Sadly, Our visit with Grandma Thorpe went to fast!! :( We are extremely glad we had such Amazing & Gorgeous Weather!!! We had a blast, & created some wonderful memories!!

Our closest airport is in Madison, Wisconsin. It's a whole whoppin' 2 Hours Away!!! However it has to be one of the most prettiest & calming drives. I feel like I haven't really shown much of Wisconsin. It is wide open farm land. It actually reminds me alot of PA. A Summer Storm was rolling in... & I just can't help myself... Alan drove home hence why all the photos! ;)

A Drive...

The kids & I went for a drive this morning. We just picked a random road and wanted to see where we would end up! I love these gorgeous, quiet, country roads. It's so refreshing and everyone should enjoy this part of Iowa once in there life! If I wasn't driving I probably would have taken more photos.. Perhaps on a weekend we will take Alan for the same drive! :)

Our First few weeks...

For the first week we didn't really leave the house very much. I was in denial of some sorts, and wasn't sure where my gps was in the sea of boxes. Mostly we spent our time adjusting and unpacking our stuff. Every day we seem to be making progress.

The only times we have gone out have been on the weekends with Alan for just drives. I love the rolling farm land, and how green everything is. Life is slow here and no one is ever in a rush. Its very refreshing.

We have slowly began picking side roads and just follow them until they run out. These photos are from our 2nd weekend here on a drive. We stopped and got ice cream! :)
