New Mexico!

So its that time again, for our annual week trip to New Mexico! It was a blast! We love it down there in Las Cruces & we especially love going to see my grandparents! I am very close to my mothers parents. I talk to them 1-2 times a day! Brenton & Savannah are their only great grandchildren at the moment.

We took Aunty Mallory's new car since my jeeps transmission decided to go again for the 2nd time this year and it was back in the shop! (thank goodness it was under warranty!) We took Aunty Mallory with us since the last time she saw our grandparents was at Mommy's funeral. It was a 13 hr drive one way! Thank goodness for our portable dual dvd player! We listened to a lot of yo gabba gabba, the wonder pets, and backyardigans on our drive.

While we were down their we mostly spent time visiting. The first day I like to help around the house and clean where it may be hard on my grandparents. Brenton is such a good helper! I obviously start them young... haha.

Our trip consisted of lots of playing for the kids. Brenton is a true Thorpe! A car always in hand no matter what! He drove those cars everywhere. You heard lots of "Broom Vroom! Vrrrrrrmmmmm!".

Brenton had a tag along everywhere he went in the house. My grandparents black weaner dog Oscar Obama Garcia! haha. (My grandpa just added Oscars new middle name is Obama! Not because he likes him but because hes black! haha.) Oscar wanted to watch and play with Brenton. They were good pals by the end of our week!

Savannah had lots of play time too in her johnny jump up! Boy does Savannah love to jump, sway, and twirl! She had this mastered at 5 months! haha.

This was Savannah's first time meeting her Great Grandparents! She has truly captured their hearts. Its safe to say that they are head over heels in love with our little sweetheart! Its hard to resist her sweet little smile! She can make anyone melt. We saw a bumper sticker down there that Alan wants to get.
"Guns don't kill people, Dads with pretty Daughters do!".

On Thursday we drove 3 hrs north to drop off Mallory at the Airport in Albuquerque. Also Mallory's 18th Birthday! So we found a Dunkin Donuts for Mallory!

After we dropped off Mallory. Alan was flying into that airport 3 hrs later. So to kill some time, I used my Christmas present from dad (a gps!) to find the Aquarium. This was the kids first time! Although it was much smaller scale compared to Boston. I was impressed for the middle of the dessert! Brenton loved it all! Next time we are there we will def go again! If we had more time we would have gone to the zoo as well. Maybe next time!

Another Highlight was going to the mexican restraunt, Los Marachis in downtown Mesilla. So yummy! We were able to go twice while down there. First time with Aunt Mallory and second time with Alan. Grandpas sister Angie and her husband Jim also joined us for dinner the second time around. Which happend to be Friday night. :) (Every friday Marachis sing while you eat!)

Brenton loved the spanish rice! We couldnt feed him fast enough so he took things apon himself. haha. He was a riot to watch!
Here is a video of Brenton eating his rice speaking in his own version of Spanish! Can you tell he likes it? haha.

Sadly it was time to go. We were going to leave Sat evening but ended up leaving after dinner on friday. We had a snow storm headed to Utah. So we really wanted didnt want to chance getting stuck in 2 wheel drive through the mountains. We ended up leaving at 10pm and got home at 11am the next morning. We are already looking forward to our next trip to New Mexico!

"A Pirate, A Pirate Says... Arrrrggg!"

This year for Halloween only the kids dressed up! We wanted something that Brenton would recognize. And if you say to him " A Pirate, A Pirate says...", He reply's "Arrrgggg!"! So Brenton & Savannah were Pirates this year! After becoming frustrated with how little of a Pirate costume you can get for 30-50 bucks. I decided to make my own! Unfortunately, Savannah is way to wiggly at this stage and wouldnt keep her other half of her costume on!

Across the Street all the leaves had freshly fallen over night! Perfect Halloween backdrop! Daddy took Brenton Trick or Treating this year! He was so cute by the end of the night he was saying "Tick Teet!!!"!

Halloween Day!

Well as we mentioned below, we went to Thanksgiving Point! We went to the Cornbelly's Festival and the petting zoo! We had tons of fun! Brenton got to bounce, go on slides, swing on the horseys, play in the pumpkin patch, feed the animals, & ride on 2 horsey rides! Mommy & Brenton went on the cow train, & Daddy & Brent went inside the monster! It was jammed pack day! Savannah stayed in her stroller for the most part but was a complete angel! We are just loving how much of a new world it is to our kids!

Happy Halloween!!!

Tonight is Ghost Hunters Live!!!! I'm so stinkin' excited!!! I'm a TAPS fanatic! Mainly because they are right from Warwick RI! A total Culotta Must!!!

Today we have a day full of fun planned! Thanksgiving Point, Provo River Cruise and trick or treating!!!
