House Update...

A Much needed House Update was in order! Once we signed papers they then submitted our home plans to the city. Where they have to give the approval and send the building permits. That was the longest part of this whole thing. They weren't sure about how long it would take. So there were many drives to the lot to see if anything had happened yet.

We are fastly going into Week 4! And now things are moving right along! Take a look for yourself! The house can be ready as early as the last week of April! All depending on the weather! So far our house is a month early! Yay! Due to job shortages in Utah they are able to have a full time crew on our house! Next week we will probably drive there every night to see the changes! So look for a update next sunday!

Happy Birthday Erin!!!
"What Can I say we are like Apples & Bananas!"-- Erin

Erin is one of My Best Friends! I love her to death! She is one of those people that I can tell everything and anything to! We have always been there through so much in each others lives. Weddings, Deaths, Babys, Moves, ect. She is a amazing person! And inspires me to be better! There is so much I love about our friendship and about her! She isn't afraid of calling me out, laughing with me until we cry, discussing tv shows & books, analyzing our dreams, being scared together, dancing our hearts out, sharing makeup tips, shopping till we drop, always offering to help me out, phone calls that can be a couple of hours, venting both ways, and sometimes a little gossiping. haha. 20 years from now I can still see her as my best friend! I am so fortunate to have her close by in Draper! However the day we are apart, the plan is to become filthy rich so we can always be able to hop on a plane and visit each other. I could write so much more but Ill spare most of you!

Happy Birthday Chick-en! Thanks for being my Bff! haha.

Cooking...

First a Little Story to share with you...

Now my husband is one of those type of men, who always takes something to read in the bathroom. The usual are his current book hes reading or one of his many hot rod magazines. So with that said, I walked into our bathroom to find Alan on the toilet. Immediately I recognized the book he was reading it was My Cookbook!!! Apparently all of my cooking has inspired my husband. Who would have thought?! haha.

As you may recall One of my new years resolutions was cooking a new recipe 2 times a month. It seems like a lot of the time everyone usually forgets about there resolutions around now. But not me!!! We have taken up cooking in our home. Alan was so impressed with my yummy meals than he made his resolutions to 1 new recipe a month! We have really enjoyed spending time together making scrumptious meals for our family. With our insanely crazy schedule's we have some how made it a point to always have dinner every night together as a family. At first it was extremely hard for me to be creative. However I have found it has gotten easier and easier! We have found ourselves making more than 2 (+Alan's) recipes. All of this cooking has even inspired me to be a little less picky and even try new foods! Crazy! huh?!

Our favorites so far are Bacon & Potatoe Soup, & Homemade Sloppy Joes! This weekend we are trying Homemade Chicken Pot Pie! Yum! :)

$355 later...

Our dogs were groomed this past weekend. I know, how do you spend that on dogs?! Well they both were due for shots= $60 per dog. Grooming= $60 per dog. Sedated to be Groomed= $50 per dog.

Our poor dogs haven't been groomed in well over a year! It was so bad! They seriously lost at least 5 lbs each! Benson has had some major attitude problems lately so we wanted to see if this would help. The Good News it Helped a ton, like 95%! Yay for a happy dog again! However you better believe they will be groomed every 3-4 months from here on out to save us money!

The Due Date...

I didn't really blog about the loss of our little sweet nephew. In all honesty its been a emotional roller coaster these past 5 weeks. It still seems like it hasn't happened. Its hard to gather words to express how we feel. Here is a expert from my Journal...

"Last Thursday we found out our sweet little nephew past away. Its been a very long past week. Today we buried Devin Daniels Brown. It was extremely bitter sweet for us. Alan & I became Uncle & Aunt for the first time in our lives. And Brenton & Savannah got their 1st Cousin. However at the same time we have been mourning the loss of little Devin. Our hearts are heavy and ache for the loss as well as for my poor sister and her husband. Crying has become a norm around our home. Even Alan who never crys, has been sobbing. I was fortunate enough to be with my sweet sister and her husband during the labor process and delivery of sweet little Devin. I am grateful for having the opportunity to be there.

Devin Daniels Brown was 4lbs 3 oz. and 16 inches long. He looked lots like his Mommy. Dark Hair and Christy's Nose.

It really doesn't seem fair. During this whole experience 2 scriptures have kept going through my head. "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid" John 14:27. "For God so loved the world, that he gave up his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."John 3:16. These scriptures have brought me some comfort as well as knowing my Mother was there to welcome Devin with open arms.

In the LDS faith a lot of people dont wear as much black at funerals. However coming from New England and tradition we decided to wear black. So even little Savannah was in black.

Im not sure why our family keeps having these life altering trials. However we are extremly grateful for eternal familys. And I am extremly grateful to call Devin my 1st Nephew! Devin We Love You!!! And we will keep you close to our hearts forever."

Thank You for all of the kind emails, phone calls, and extra prayers! And a Special Thanks to Amanda my cousin for dropping everything and coming down to help us. As well as to One of My Best Friends Erin for babysitting and just letting me talk things out to!

Happy Happy Birthday Alan Dear!!!

Today Alan is 27 Years Old!!! EEk! I'm not gonna lie its kinda scary to think how close to 30 that is! haha. Here are 27 Random Things about my sweetheart!

1. Alan wants a Malamute Husky someday when we have enough acres for it to run!

2. Alan is a masterful Steak cooker! (it makes my mouth water just thinking about it!)

3. Alan is a John Wayne/Old Western Movie lover! He watches 1-2 a week, if not more! I am constantly deleting them off the tivo! The funny thing is we own almost every one of his movies! So I don't feel bad deleting them. Anyways, we are getting a huge canvas old western John Wayne Picture for his office!

4. Alan Hates Feet! He will literally Dry Heave if they come to close!!!

5. I have made Alan use Axe Body Wash every since I was pregnant with Brenton! He didn't smell very good to me so I spent a hour at the store picking out a scent I liked! His Cologne choice is Obsession by Calvin Klein!

6. Alan sleeps during the day instead of night. He works 9pm to 5:30 am.

7. He Loves to Read!!! He always has a book laying around. We have boxes/containers of books in the garage. He will finally have bookshelves to put them on in the office at the new house!

8. Alan loves to target shoot in the mountains but he doesn't like to hunt!

9. Alan drinks a Mt. Dew every day! Our first fight ever was over him drinking to much Mt. Dew! haha.

10. The only TV Shows he will tune in for are Heros and Simpsons!

11. Since we have gotten married Alan has gotten gray hairs!!! haha.

12. Alan is very stubborn but extremely kick back! Weird I know!

13. He is NOT a Phone person! We have never had a conversation on the phone for more than 15 mins! Hes just a talk in person kinda guy!

14. Alan hates sweatshirts! He owns one and its from High School and he will only wear it when hes working on a car! Every time we go shopping for him, I always try to get him to get a trendy one! lol.

15. Alan's favorite fast food is Jack in the Box! We have to go every time we go to California.

16. He cant spell to save his life! Its kinda hard to think hes sincere in a romantic note when he can barely spell anything right.

17. Alan did pole vaulting and track in high school!

18. He wants to climb the ruins in Mexico someday and wouldn't mind living down there.

19. Alan's "Dream House" would be somewhere with over 10 acres, a porch, and BIG Windows all over for natural light! Not to sure on the BIG Windows everywhere, I guess we will see. haha.

20. Alan says he speaks Mexican and not Spanish because no one spoke correct Spanish on his mission. To much slang he claims.

21. Alan didn't really want to go on a mission but his parents pushed him to just do it. However as soon as he got into the MTC he loved every moment of it!

22. He is allergic to Bees and toma tio (sp??)!

23. Alan was not a very good kisser the first time we kissed! I almost broke up with him because it was so bad! I decided to give him a second chance and if it didn't get better he was history. Obviously it got a ton better! But if you asked him he thought from the beginning that it was amazing!!!

24. According to Alan he is going to keep his Yellow Truck around so it can be Brent's 1st Car. haha. I'm not to sure how I feel about that.

25. He gets easily scared and is very prankable! He claims I am going to give him a massive heart attack one day! All and all it has made a lot of funny memories through out our marriage.

26. Alan is a somewhat private person and would rather have 1 or 2 good friends then lots and lots of friends.

27. Alan is a amazing husband and father! He is always putting us first no matter what.

I Love You Alan! Happy Birthday Babe!!!

The Bachelor

Yes I am blogging about this! So Alan & I tuned in to watch the end of this years Bachelor! I really liked Jason! He was the whole reason why I tuned into this season. Normally I could care less to watch.

I love Melissa!!! And was tickled pink when he chose her!

However after he dumps her on national television!!! That is lower than low! And I am Ticked beyond belief! I don't think, I could have been as nice as she was to Jason. Read a recap below...

"Visibly angry, Melissa said she couldn't believe Jason's decision to give up on their relationship after the first signs of trouble instead of trying to work on it.

"I do not see how you can sit there and do what you said to me." Melissa said. "'I love you, I wanna spend my life with you, I wanna make you happy, I wanna do this, I wanna do that,' and then the second you start having doubts, not talk to me about it and say 'Let's work on this, let's fight, you know I just put a ring on your finger and that means forever so let's see what we can do to fix this.'"

"[Instead] it's 'I'm just gonna pull away. Whoa, things are different and I don't wanna try.' Do you see where I'm a little irritated?" she added."
Jason attempted to justify his decision by telling Melissa that he had attempted to put aside his feelings for the good of their relationship, but added that in the end he did not want to spend his life with her and have the regret of never knowing what could have been with Molly.

Melissa, however, was not accepting of the explanation.

"You're such a bastard," she muttered under her breath while Jason spoke. After giving her ring back to him, she cut off Jason's goodbye with some choice words of her own before departing the set.

"You know, I've been through a ton of heartbreak, you've been through a ton of heartbreak, and that's why I'm baffled by this, I mean it doesn't make sense. You should know better than to do something like that," she told him angrily. "So good luck in the future, good luck with Molly, there you go. Don't call me and don't text me anymore. Leave me alone please."

Then runs back to day nappy Molly. Arrrgh!!!
I think, I can now see why Jason is divorced! What a Jerk!!! All I am left saying is
Seriously What the Crap Was That?!
