New Phones!
*
Yays for New Cell Phones! Our phone's pretty much died at the same exact time, at the end of November. Ironically the day we left for Boston, so getting a hold of us was a little difficult. We had to wait until Dec 27th for Verizon to give us a credit towards our new phones. So yesterday we finally had time to both go in and pick out what we wanted. It actually worked out perfect because Alan just wanted something simple and cheap. And of course I wanted something fancy, pretty, and exspensive. haha. Well it just so happend that they were running a special of Buy the LG Chocolate and get the VX5300s for Free! So after we get our rebate back on our phones, it will have costed us a whole woppin' $3!!! Well except Alan of course let me get the gizmos and gadgets for my phone... soooo its a little more than that. But I think you can all tell by whos is whos by the pictures. My Phone is so sweet! Its black and it slides out for the keypad. I can watch the news, music videos, and some shows from my phone! We got a memory card for it so I can store about 500 songs and use it as a Ipod. I have the internet, and just alot of other fun things on it. So all and all Im Pretty Excited!

Christmas Eve
*
Alan had to work that morning at the restaurant, which will be one of the few Sunday's he has left at MiMis before he starts his new job which consists of Sunday's off from now on. As you can Imagine we are soooo excited! Anyways Alan got off early because as you can imagine it was dead on a Sunday in Orem. Christy had spent the night previous because she also had to work at the restaurant. I got ready and did my hair, which is becoming a major pain since its getting so long. I think I'm due for a haircut any day now. We left the house at 5pm to get Christy to the Airport to fly home to Boston.
*
Alan & I headed to the other side of Salt Lake where his Aunt Jan lived. His family isn't as close as ours but they all got together because Grandma Hugie was visiting. And Since I have never really met Grandma or his other relatives we decided it was a good idea to go. We headed up the side of the Mountain. She lives in a very well off part of Salt Lake. In fact you couldn't drive any higher because there wasn't a street higher. As you can imagine the view of the whole Salt Lake Valley was AMAZING! Everyone was very nice, in fact some of his Aunts and Uncles didn't even know who Alan was because the last time they saw him he was 10-12 years old. haha. A good majority of them are inactive and so the wine was flowing quite steadily. I don't mind when ppl drink , if it were to be beer I probably would have sat in the car because I always get sooo sick from the smell. I thought it was kinda funny because the more they drank the more friendlier they were. haha. They served dinner... which was more like really fancy expensive food, you know aka barely any food on your plate. I ended up filling up on crackers, cheese, and salami! haha. Because everything they had was def stuff Alan & I don't even eat or try to. His Aunt Jan got everyone Christmas Presents. Including us... It was this really fancy pretty box and inside was a card with a $100 in cash! We were def shocked and weren't expecting that but we were extremely grateful to her generosity. We ended up leaving at 8:45pm and by the time we got home it was almost 10pm. We then ate a REAL dinner... haha. And watched It's A Wonderful Life, before going to bed.

Christmas Day
*
We woke up at 8:30am and came downstairs and opened our stockings. We really didn't get a lot for each other this year because most of everything is going to Brenton and his Nursery. I got Alan floor mats for his truck and a steering wheel cover... of course it was Chevy, Black and Yellow to match. He was quite excited, a lot more than I expected him to be. He also got 2 New Seasons of Simpson's, and a Daily Simpson Trivia Calender for his desk at work. He also got 2 New CD's and blackhead scrubs. haha. Alan got me some gorgeous Jewelery and a Jewelery Box that matches our bedroom set. I also got a Dean Martin Movie DVD Pack , Snow Patrol CD, and Of course we both got Dental Floss with tons of Candy. :) We also got Money from My Dad, Alan's Parents, & Grandpa Joe. As well as $40 gift cards each to Kohl's from the Adams & my grandparents. A really big fun Snow Globe for our Christmas Decorations. Brenton got a crib, swing, bouncer, comforter set, and a really cute Tommy Hilfiger outfit! :)
*
After we opened presents we quickly got ready and headed to Salt Lake to my Aunt Monica's House. We then all piled into My Uncles truck and drove down to the Grand America Hotel in downtown Salt Lake for Buffet Brunch. I pretty much stuffed myself silly! haha. It was really really yummy. From fresh omelets made the way you want, fresh fruits, and every other breakfast food you could think of. After that we headed back to there house. Everyone took a Nap, except for Emily & I. We instead played Mexican Domino's and ate a 1/2 pound of chocolate... how?! I am still not sure. haha. Grandpa & Grandma Adams stopped by the give the Adams there Christmas Presents. After visiting for a few hours we decided to go to the Movies. The Girls saw "A Night in the Museum" & The Boys saw The New James Bond Movie. We also went to Scott's Boss's House where everyone ate again except for me. I was still sooo beyond stuffed from earlier. Alan really liked it because he had a garage just like his dads filled with old cars. We left around 10pm so we could go to bed. Alan went snowboarding the next day with them, while I slept in.

"The roots of education are bitter, but the fruit is sweet" --Aristotle
*
So I started school last Saturday! 8 Hrs of class... was intense! My Head feels like its going to explode with all of the information I'm trying to put in it. It's actually a lot harder than I thought it was. But that's okay, because I like a good challenge, & I'm finally getting something done! I already have a exam I'm suppose to take today. So my day will end up.... Study, Study, Study, Read, Go to School and take test. Plus add in unexpected bathroom trips from Brenton laying on my bladder, and lunch. I still have to do today's reading of 4 chapters! Blahh! And still look into my advanced cpr class I have to have under me. Which we were informed its a 6 hr class! Plus I need to look into what shots I need in order to do my internship. I'm suppose to also think of what kind of office I want to do my internship in. Alan wants me to do a specialty field because they make double the money. So we are thinking of Orthodontics because I'm dealing with less sick people.
*
Alan has been busy with work. He got promoted in August. They trained him and got him certified as a Network Switch technician. Which means more money and better opportunities for job growth. By the time we leave Utah Alan will have 2 years experience under him. Even though its not a field he wants to get into, it will still be nice for a back up job if we ever need it. So far hes already gotten 2 raises! Which we are not complaining about. Alan is going to take some independent study courses to makeup the classes he needed to at the Y. Hes quitting MiMis come Feb/March. And going back to school full time come spring semester and working just at Nortel. By April I hope to be working finally! I will only have to work 32 hrs if that to insure we live comfortable. Your probaly wondering how we will juggle this all with a Baby. Well Alan usually does all of his classes in 2 days. So obviously I wont work those days. And he doesn't work at Nortel until 3pm, its usually pretty dead so he gets his homework and studying done there. So Ill just work 3-4 days a week, early in the morning (6am) to around 2pm come home and he will be off to work. So technically we would both have weekends off to spend as a family.
*
We are all Moved in and the unpacking has began! But it will have to wait until studying, homework and class is done. I feel like I got a good start to it. Although its going to take me a while to go through everything. Ill take some pics this weekend of the outside and a update on tiffany pregnant! 27 weeks this Saturday!!! So crazy! Anyways back to studying!!!

These Quotes are so fitting for Our Lives Right Now. This week is a Crazy & Hectic one for The Thorpe Family. On Wednesday we begin to move all of our Small things to our new Home. Don't worry we will still be in Provo just across town is all! We are moving into a cute townhouse. 3 floors, 3 bedrooms, and a 1 Car Garage. Friday Night My Father In Law arrives with My Sister In Law, Whitney to help move all of the BIG Furniture. Which we seem to have a abundce of. Even though we hate moving, I'm loving that we have been able to go through all of our boxes and things and dump things we have had forever. We should be all moved in by Sunday. Ill have to post pic. of the new place and I'm sure we will send out a Family Newsletter with the new addy!
*
As if we aren't busy enough right now with the Move I start school on Saturday. Since I'm not working right now I will be able to focus all of my time and effort on school. Ill be finished with School & My Internship 2 weeks before Brenton is due. So lets hope he comes on time!
*
So after things calm down for a week or so things will be getting crazy again, because Grandpa & Grandma Garcia will be back for another visit! Yay! There coming up for Thanksgiving and Grandpas Birthday on Nov. 30th. Which means I have 1 week to get things organized at The New House and do My Schoolwork. Alan & I have already arranged to spend the whole day with Grandpa on his Birthday.
*
Day after Grandpa's Birthday we are headed to the airport to catch a flight to Boston. My Family is throwing me a Baby Shower & The Branch Christmas Party is ironically that same weekend. So we will be able to see probally the most people I've seen in a visit. I'm really glad Alan is able to go with me I've been somwhat nervous about flying by myself. Since your recommended not to fly 8-10 weeks before your due, I'll be cutting it close being in my 29th week while we are there. This will be the first time we have been back to MA since Moms Funeral. So I'm sure the trip will be filled of a lot of Bittersweet feelings.
*
For My Southern California Family & Friends you will probally be seeing me the last week of Dec. for Baby Shower #2. We are in the process of looking for a good flight for me to fly out on... aka direct. Since its only a hour plane ride I'm not as stressed flying there by myself.
*
I feel very blessed and thankful that we have so many people who care about Our Little Family. And we are just so excited to be able to see everyone within the next 4 weeks.

Patti goes to the MTC!
*
Well My Good Friend Pattio Furniture is off to Serve the Lord! Or perhaps I should say Cectpa Thomas! Patti will be in the MTC for 8 weeks before being sent to Bulgaria! It was kinda sad to see her leave, but I only see her once a year anyways. So it wont be much different except I wont be able to call & say Hi!
*
This is when she had just put on her Missionary Tag!!!
*
Tiffany, Patti, & Alan Outside the MTC. I look kinda awful but I was freezing, being kicked, & needed a bathroom!
*
Patti & Christy at MiMis Cafe this Morning for Breakfast. Christy had to work so this is when they said goodbye.

Our Little Pumpkin!!!
*
Here's Benson in his Halloween costume! Isn't he soo cute?! Alan & I couldn't resist it when we saw it at Target! Lacy is going to be Superman this year! But you will have to wait to see her on Halloween. We still need to decorate outside the house. This is my first Halloween passing out candy at home. Usually I have to work at Limited Too passing out candy to the trick or treaters there. Im a little worried just because our ward has something like 150+ kids in the primary! And that's just our ward! We share the building with 2 other wards and there's another chapel down the street! Im going to have to buy candy in the bulk! My friend Jeremy thinks I should be a jar of Prego, this Halloween. Which would be oh so funny, but where do you even begin making a jar?!
